About the course

What is B.Tech?

B.Tech (also offered as B.E.) is a four-year undergraduate engineering degree. The first year covers common foundations — mathematics, physics, programming and basic engineering — before students move into their chosen branch.

Admission at most colleges is through a national, state or university entrance exam, followed by counselling and seat allotment. Graduates go into industry, public-sector jobs (often via GATE), or higher studies such as M.Tech, MS abroad or an MBA.
