Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026

On this page12 sections

A refund of the Advance Payment is made in one situation only: Career Comrade could not secure admission for the Student despite offering reasonable alternatives, and the Student met every obligation. This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions and is accepted by tick-box at registration and again when the Advance Payment is made.

1. What you pay for

The Service Charge (including the Advance Payment) pays for work Career Comrade performs from the day of payment: counselling, profile evaluation, course and institution shortlisting, application filing, document preparation, liaison with institutions, follow-ups and admission-day support. It is a fee for services, not the price of a seat. Because this work starts immediately, the Advance Payment is non-refundable except as set out in section 3.

2. Agreed Options

At registration the Student and Parent/Guardian record the institutions, courses, locations and budget they are seeking ("Agreed Options"). The budget is based on the fee quoted by the institution at that time. Changes are valid only when confirmed by Career Comrade in writing.

3. The only case in which a refund is payable

The Advance Payment is refunded only when all of these are true:

  1. Career Comrade was unable to secure admission in any Agreed Option up to the last date of reporting set by the institutions or authority;

  2. the Student did not decline any reasonable alternative offered by Career Comrade within the registered budget and preferences (the "best alternative");

  3. the Student gave all documents, information, attendance and payments within the times we asked;

  4. the Student did not withdraw, change preferences or take admission elsewhere; and

  5. the Student met the institutions' published eligibility criteria on the basis of the documents and results they gave us.

4. No refund in any other case

No refund is payable, and the amounts below remain due, if:

Situation

Result

Student or parent withdraws, at any stage, for any reason

Advance Payment forfeited

Change of mind, course, location, institution or budget after registration

Advance Payment forfeited

Student declines the best alternative offered within the registered budget and preferences

Advance Payment forfeited

Full Service Charge payable

Advance Payment forfeited

Documents, information or payments not given on time; instructions not followed

Advance Payment forfeited

False, altered or misleading information or documents

All amounts forfeited

Student ineligible because of their own results, marks or documents

Advance Payment forfeited

5. "Admission on merit" claims

Students sometimes secure a seat and then say the admission came purely from their own merit. Under these terms, how the seat was allotted does not matter. If admission is secured in any Agreed Option during the period we are engaged, the Student and Parent/Guardian accept that our counselling, shortlisting, applications and guidance contributed to it, and the full Service Charge is payable.

6. Discounts and fee negotiation

Institution fees are set only by the institution. Career Comrade may, as a courtesy, request a concession, but does not guarantee any discount, waiver, scholarship or instalment plan. Pressure to obtain a discount does not change these terms. If an institution refuses a concession and the Student declines the seat, it is a withdrawal, not a failure by Career Comrade.

7. Refund timeline

Where a refund is due under section 3, the refund process begins only if Career Comrade has been unable to complete the admission even 45 days after regular classes have begun at the institution(s) concerned. Once begun, the refund is completed within 60 to 180 working days.

8. How refunds are paid

Refunds go only to the original payment source, in the payer's name. Payment-gateway and bank charges are deducted. Taxes are refunded as permitted by law. We do not refund in cash.

9. Our own products

For Career Comrade's own products (paid counselling sessions, reports, premium tools, courses, subscriptions), we guarantee delivery as described at purchase.

  • If we fail to deliver as described, you may choose re-delivery or a full refund within 15 working days.

  • A session may be rescheduled once with 24 hours' notice. A missed session without notice is treated as delivered.

  • Digital products and sessions are non-refundable once access is given or the session is held.

10. Cancellation by Career Comrade

We may end the Services for breach of the Terms (including false documents, abuse of staff, or non-payment). No refund is payable in that case and amounts due remain payable. If we stop a Service for reasons unrelated to you, we refund the unused portion of what you paid for that Service.

11. How to request a refund

Email careercomradehelpdesk@gmail.com with the Student's name, registered mobile, receipt numbers, Agreed Options and the reason. We acknowledge within 48 hours and give a written decision within 30 days. Disputes follow the Grievance Redressal Policy.

12. Acceptance

By registering and making the Advance Payment, the Student and Parent/Guardian confirm they have read and accept this policy. No further signature is needed.
