These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Career Comrade Edtech LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, with its registered office at 415, 3rd Floor, 4th B Main Road, Kammanahalli Main Road, HRBR Layout 2nd Block, Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560043 ("Career Comrade", "we", "us", "our").

They govern your use of careercomrade.com, careercomrade.in, our apps, forms, WhatsApp and phone channels, and all counselling and admission services (together, the "Services"). By accessing the Services, submitting a form, ticking an acceptance box or making any payment, you accept these Terms. This is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and needs no physical signature. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Definitions

  • Student — the person seeking counselling or admission.

  • Parent/Guardian — the parent or lawful guardian of a Student, jointly responsible with the Student under these Terms.

  • You/User — any Student, Parent/Guardian or visitor.

  • Institution — any college, university, school or education provider.

  • Service Charge — the fee payable to Career Comrade for its services, including the Advance Payment.

  • Advance Payment — the first payment made to start the admission process.

  • Admission Cycle — the academic intake for which you engaged us.

2. Nature of our Services

2.1 Career Comrade provides career counselling, education guidance and admission facilitation. We help you understand options, prepare applications, meet deadlines and communicate with Institutions.

2.2 We are a facilitator, not an Institution and not an agent of any Institution unless we state otherwise in writing. Admission, seat allotment, fees, scholarships and eligibility are decided solely by the Institution or the competent authority.

2.3 Lawful channels only. We assist only with admissions through channels permitted by the Institution and applicable law, including the management or NRI quota where lawfully offered. We do not collect, pass on or facilitate any capitation fee, donation or unofficial payment, and we do not buy, sell or reserve seats. Any tuition, hostel or other Institution fee must be paid directly to the Institution against its official receipt.

2.4 No guarantee. Career Comrade guarantees only the delivery of its own products and services as described at the time of purchase (such as counselling sessions, reports, tools and subscriptions). We do not guarantee admission, a specific Institution, course, seat, rank, discount, fee concession, scholarship, result or job, and no staff member can give such a guarantee.

2.5 Post-admission help (accommodation leads, orientation) is provided on a best-effort basis. Third-party landlords and service providers are independent of us.

3. Eligibility and accounts

3.1 You must be 18 or older to accept these Terms. If the Student is under 18, a Parent/Guardian must register, give consent and accept these Terms on the Student's behalf, and is responsible for the Student's use of the Services.

3.2 You must give true, complete and current information and genuine documents. Submitting forged, altered or misleading documents ends our Services immediately, forfeits all amounts paid, and may be reported to the Institution and the authorities.

3.3 Keep your login and OTPs confidential. Activity from your account or registered mobile number is treated as yours.

4. Payments and official channels

4.1 Pay only to Career Comrade Edtech LLP, through the official bank account, UPI ID or payment link given on your invoice or shared from our official number, and always obtain an official receipt issued in the LLP's name.

4.2 No employee, counsellor, partner or associate is authorised to accept cash or payment into a personal account, or to promise guaranteed admission, a specific seat or any term not written in these Terms or in a written agreement signed by an authorised partner. Career Comrade is not responsible for any payment made or promise relied on outside these channels. Report any such request to careercomradehelpdesk@gmail.com immediately.

4.3 Service Charges are exclusive of GST and other taxes, which are payable in addition.

4.4 Post-dated cheques (PDCs), where agreed, are accepted as payment towards the Service Charge and will be acknowledged in writing. A cheque that is dishonoured may lead to action under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

4.5 Raising a chargeback or payment dispute for services already delivered, without first using our grievance process in section 14, is a breach of these Terms.

See also our Payment Terms and Policy.

5. Admission services, fees and refunds

Full details are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Payment Terms, which form part of these Terms. In short:

5.1 The fee is for our work. The Service Charge, including the Advance Payment, pays for counselling, profile evaluation, shortlisting, application filing, document preparation, institution liaison and follow-ups, which begin on the day of the Advance Payment. It is not a price for a seat.

5.2 Agreed Options. At registration we record in writing (form, email or WhatsApp) the Institutions, courses, locations and budget you choose ("Agreed Options"). Changes need our written confirmation.

5.3 Merit or quota does not matter. If the Student secures admission in any Agreed Option during the Admission Cycle — whether through merit, a counselling round, management, NRI or any other quota, a spot round or a direct application — the full Service Charge is payable. You accept that our services contributed to that admission, and a claim that admission was obtained "on merit" does not reduce or cancel the Service Charge.

5.4 When a refund is payable. The Advance Payment is refunded only if Career Comrade is unable to secure admission in any Agreed Option, or in a reasonable alternative we offer within your registered budget and preferences, up to the last date of reporting, and you have met all your obligations. In every other case it is non-refundable, including if you withdraw, change your mind, course, location or budget, decline a secured seat or a reasonable alternative, fail to give documents or payments on time, give false information, or take admission elsewhere.

5.5 Refund timeline. Where a refund is due, the refund process begins only if admission is still not secured 45 days after regular classes begin at the Institution(s) concerned. We will then pay the refund to the original payment source within 60 to 180 working days of the refund process beginning. Gateway and bank charges are deducted.

5.6 Withdrawal. If you withdraw at any stage, the Advance Payment is forfeited. If you withdraw after admission has been secured in an Agreed Option, the full Service Charge is payable whether or not you join.

5.7 No discounts guaranteed. Institution fees are fixed by the Institution. We may, as a courtesy, ask an Institution for a concession, but we do not promise one. If you decline an admission because an Institution did not give a discount, waiver or concession, it is treated as your withdrawal, not our failure.

5.8 Balance Service Charge. Once admission is secured in an Agreed Option (a seat is offered to you), the balance Service Charge is due within the time we notify.

5.9 Direct admission. If, within the Admission Cycle or 12 months of our introduction, you take admission directly or through another party at an Institution or course we shortlisted or introduced, the full Service Charge is payable.

5.10 Fee changes. Institution fees and seat availability can change without notice. We are not liable for such changes; you may accept the revised fee or move to another Agreed Option.

5.11 Timelines. Admission timelines are set by Institutions and authorities and may change. We are not liable for delays caused by them, by you, or by events outside our control.

5.12 Recovery. Unpaid amounts carry interest at 18% per year from the due date. We may recover them, with reasonable collection and legal costs, through the process in section 14.

6. Documents

6.1 We work from self-attested photocopies or scans.

6.2 Original documents are collected only when an Institution requires them, against a written acknowledgement listing each document. Originals are handed to the Institution or returned to you. We do not keep original documents as security for any payment.

6.3 We take reasonable care of documents in our custody but are not liable for loss or delay caused by Institutions, couriers or events outside our control. Please keep copies of everything you share.

7. Communications

By registering, you consent to Career Comrade contacting you and your Parent/Guardian by call, SMS, WhatsApp and email about your enquiry, application, payments and deadlines, even if your number is registered on the DND/NCPR list. Calls may be recorded for quality, training and dispute-resolution purposes. Promotional messages are sent only with your separate consent and you can opt out any time by replying STOP or emailing us. See our Marketing / Communication Consent Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You must not: copy, scrape or harvest content or data; attempt unauthorised access; upload malware; impersonate anyone; post false reviews; misuse our name, logo or staff identity; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or end access for any breach.

9. Intellectual property

All content, tools (including the College Predictor), designs, text, data compilations, logos and software are owned by or licensed to Career Comrade. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, sell or distribute them without our written permission. Institution names and logos belong to their owners and are used for identification only. See our Intellectual Property / Copyright Policy.

10. Reviews and testimonials

If you submit a review, testimonial, photo or video, you grant Career Comrade a free, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use it on our website and social media. We will seek your separate consent before using your name, photo or likeness and will remove it on written request, except where already printed or broadcast.

11. Limitation of liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career Comrade is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of an academic year, opportunity, income or reputation.

11.2 Career Comrade's total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the Service Charge actually paid by you for the Service in question.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Career Comrade, its partners and staff against any loss, claim or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from false information or documents you provide, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, government or court orders, changes in admission rules, exam cancellations, strikes, or internet and system outages.

14. Grievances and dispute resolution

14.1 Raise any complaint first with our Grievance Officer (details below). We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days.

14.2 If not resolved, the parties will try to settle the dispute by good-faith negotiation for 30 days.

14.3 Any unresolved dispute will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement (failing which, under Section 11 of the Act), under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue will be Bengaluru, and proceedings will be in English. This does not remove any statutory right you have to approach a Consumer Commission.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to section 14, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted at least 30 days before they apply. The refund terms in force on the date of your Advance Payment apply to that admission. We may suspend or end the Services for breach of these Terms, with any amounts due remaining payable.

17. General

If any clause is held invalid, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer, the onboarding form terms and any written agreement signed by an authorised partner form the entire agreement; where they conflict, the signed written agreement prevails.
