This Privacy Policy explains how Career Comrade Edtech LLP ("Career Comrade", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal data when you use careercomrade.com, careercomrade.in, our forms, tools, WhatsApp and phone channels, and our counselling and admission services (the "Services").

We process personal data under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (together, "Data Protection Law"). For this processing we are the Data Fiduciary.

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given through a clear tick-box on our forms, or for the legitimate uses allowed by Data Protection Law (for example, complying with a legal obligation). Each consent request comes with a notice telling you what we collect and why. You may withdraw consent at any time (section 8); this does not affect processing already done, but Services that depend on the data may stop.

Many students we serve are under 18. For a child, we collect data only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, recorded through the parent's own tick-box together with the parent's name and mobile number; we may verify it by calling or sending an OTP to the parent's mobile. We do not track children, monitor their behaviour, or send them targeted advertising. See our Child / Minor Safety and Data Protection Policy.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

  • Institutions — the application details and documents for admissions you ask us to pursue.

  • Data processors — hosting and database (Google Firebase / Google Cloud), messaging (SMS, WhatsApp Business API, email), payment, CRM and call-management providers. They act on our instructions under written contracts and must protect your data.

  • Authorities — government bodies, courts or law enforcement where the law requires.

  • Professional advisers — lawyers, auditors and accountants, under confidentiality.

  • Business transfer — a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, bound by this policy.

Some processors may store data outside India. We transfer data only to countries not restricted by the Government of India and with appropriate safeguards. Details are in our Third-Party Services / Data Sharing Policy.

6. Security

We use reasonable security safeguards, including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, role-based access for authorised staff only, access logs, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as Data Protection Law requires. See our Data Security Policy.
